A PRACTICAL STARTING POINT

Know the controls.
Keep your choices intentional.

Plan one achievable Frosting AI project

A useful first project has a finish line: an illustrated reading corner, a fictional adult portrait or a landscape for a personal mood board. Decide what you want to make before comparing every model and advanced option. This keeps the first session focused on a creative choice rather than a settings tour.

  1. Write a one-sentence brief naming the subject, setting and visual style. Avoid recognizable private people or material you lack permission to upload.
  2. Choose an intended placement, such as a portrait card or wide background. That gives aspect ratio a practical purpose before you consider batches.
  3. Prepare a small comparison: keep the subject fixed and change only lighting or composition. Record your wording so a useful direction is not lost.

Before accessing the service, check eligibility. Frosting's Terms require at least 18 and the legal age in your jurisdiction, with a stated threshold of 21 in Alabama, Mississippi, Nebraska and Wyoming. These are the provider's contractual conditions, not this guide's statement of current state law.

The guidance here explains published controls and helps you prepare. We did not generate images, upload files or test chat, so it should not be read as a hands-on performance review. Judge any later result against your own brief, not the appeal of unrelated gallery portraits or a different service's demonstrations.

Check the commitment before subscribing

Start with the feature your project needs, not the highest tier. A listed priority benefit concerns busy servers; it is not a measured wait-time promise. Confirm the model, settings and credit unit attached to your intended action before deciding whether a recurring payment makes sense.

  • Compare the amount due now with the renewal interval and any taxes. The published monthly figures are reference points, not a verified checkout quote.
  • Ask which allowances apply to your model and which actions need additional credits. Do not combine gems, Stardust and video tokens into one assumed balance.
  • Keep the offer and payment terms you accepted, along with any written clarification about features or charges important to you.

Published subscription text says cancellation is available at frosting.ai/unsubscribe. Refund wording requires contact within three days of purchase and applies to unused credits only. Cancellation and a refund are different requests; neither was tested for this guide.

The sources disagree on the refund contact: subscription text names payments@frosting.ai, while the Terms name contact@frosting.ai. Confirm the current channel before purchasing. If an essential entitlement or billing condition remains unclear, postpone the payment rather than infer it from nearby marketing language.

01 / WRITE A CLEAR BRIEF

Give your Frosting AI prompt a clear subject

Frosting sources: Image controls About Frosting

Frosting describes image and chat features. For an image project, start with what you want to depict: its welcome text labels Prompt as what to draw. A short, coherent brief is easier to revise than an inventory of unrelated visual effects.

  • Name one subject: an original adult character, a landscape or a still life.
  • Add the setting, lighting and medium, keeping each detail consistent.
  • Keep your original wording before trying the listed AI Prompt Enhance option.

These are preparation suggestions, not tested generation results. Enhancement behavior and access requirements were not verified.

02 / SET USEFUL EXCLUSIONS

Use Frosting AI negative prompts selectively

Frosting sources: Image controls

The welcome text describes Negative Prompt as words to block. Use it to distinguish exclusions from the positive description, rather than mixing instructions about what should and should not appear in one sentence.

  • For a clean illustration, consider excluding unwanted text or watermarks.
  • Remove contradictory requests: asking for both a plain background and a crowded room obscures your intended composition.
  • Revise exclusions only when they address something relevant to your project.

A negative prompt is not a guarantee that unwanted details disappear. No exclusion accuracy was tested for this guide. Keep your exclusions short enough to review alongside the main prompt; an old exclusion can work against a new idea.

03 / CHOOSE THE MODEL

Choose a Frosting AI model for the style

The extracted welcome page names Lite Bluepencil XL as an anime model. Subscription text describes XL Lite versions of Bluepencil-XL, Compassmix-XL and Dreamshaper-XL as low resolution. These references help orient your choice; they are not a complete current model inventory.

Choose the visual family before adjusting advanced controls. Record the selected model alongside the prompt so later comparisons have context. September's newsletter described Altair and Vega Lite as awaiting final reviews; that announcement alone does not establish availability. Check the model actually offered in your account rather than relying on a preview name.

04 / DIMENSIONS & BATCHES

Set Frosting AI dimensions before batch size

Frosting sources: Image controls Subscriptions

Decide where the image will appear before selecting its shape. A portrait card and a wide scene need different compositions. The welcome text lists image dimensions and batch controls, but does not establish every available value.

05 / SEED & STRENGTH

Track Frosting AI seed and prompt strength

Frosting sources: Image controls

Prompt Strength is described as how closely the AI follows a prompt; Seed is described as a reproducibility control number. Both carry Star labels in the extracted welcome text. Those labels do not verify availability for every model or subscription state.

  • Note the prompt, model, dimensions and seed together when comparing variations.
  • Change one setting at a time so you can identify the difference you intended to explore.
  • Do not expect a seed alone to reproduce an image after other settings change.

No reproducibility experiment or strength comparison was performed here.

06 / ADVANCED PROMPTS

Leave advanced Frosting AI controls until later

Frosting sources: Image controls

Clip Skip and Unlimited/Weighted Prompts are marked Star in the welcome text. The latter describes unlimited length and keyword weighting, with an OFF state in the extraction. It does not mean unlimited free images.

For a first project, keep the creative brief readable before exploring either setting. Weighting syntax and model compatibility were not verified, so this guide does not prescribe a special formula. If you later experiment, retain the unweighted version and compare one change at a time. A longer prompt is not automatically a clearer one.

07 / EDITING & ENLARGEMENT

Separate Frosting AI editing from enlargement

Frosting sources: Subscriptions

Frosting lists inpainting for regenerating part of an image and upscaling for increasing generated-image resolution. They address different tasks: changing a local detail is not the same as preparing a larger file.

  • Identify whether the problem is the composition, one region or the required output dimensions.
  • Keep an original copy before editing, rather than treating every revision as a replacement.
  • Check entitlement and any charge before starting an edit or upscale.

Neither operation was tested. No enlargement multiplier, maximum size or guaranteed improvement is established by the collected descriptions. Decide what would count as a useful correction before spending credits: a revised background, for example, should not require abandoning the subject you wanted to keep.

08 / SAVE USEFUL PROMPTS

Organize Frosting AI prompts for reuse

June's preview described saving, naming, labeling and searching prompts, plus searching Dreams for Star subscribers and above. September reported the new site live, but that does not independently confirm each preview feature or its current entitlement.

Use descriptive project names wherever those tools are available: subject, style and revision are more useful than a string of generic filenames. Keep a separate note of useful prompts and settings. Storage appears in the subscription comparison, but its collected text does not establish a reliable retention period or complete per-plan capacity.

09 / CHAT & VIDEO

Choose chat or video as a separate project

The subscription page lists Character Roleplay. Prepare a fictional setting and conversational tone if that is your goal, but do not infer tested memory or unlimited messages. September's Adventure Mode announcement described an upcoming project, not a verified release.

Video is another budget decision: subscription text gives costs of 100, 300 or more tokens depending on model and length. That is not a fixed price per clip. Confirm the selected operation's charge before proceeding, and keep video tokens separate from gems or Stardust. No conversation or video generation was tested.

10 / PLANS & CREDITS

Read plan prices alongside the credit units

Frosting sources: Subscriptions Image controls

The subscription page's published text, checked on October 28, 2026, lists these monthly prices. Its pricing interface remained covered by an age-and-terms gate; checkout, annual rates, taxes and renewal details were not verified.

The page describes daily Lite-model allowances and Stardust beyond them. The welcome text's 100 Free Gens left is an interface state, not proof of a daily or universal allocation.

11 / PRIVACY CHOICES

Keep personal information out of your brief

Frosting sources: Privacy

Before entering prompts or chat, decide what belongs outside the service. The privacy policy lists email, username, browser user-agent, IP address and transaction details among collected data. Its sharing exceptions include legal obligations and specified service interests; it also disclaims absolute security.

The policy says generations and chats are private unless you share or post them. It also describes cookies for necessary site functions and performance monitoring. That is not a promise of anonymous use or zero data collection.

Use fictional details instead of private addresses or someone else's personal history. The collected policy carries a June 8, 2023 update date and lists access, correction, deletion and objection rights. It does not establish a deletion turnaround, encryption guarantee or whether prompts are used for model training.

12 / POSTING & PERMISSIONS

Review permissions before posting an image

Frosting sources: About Frosting Terms Complaints

Frosting invites creators to share work. Its public Terms say ownership rights to created content remain with you, but that statement does not guarantee copyright protection, exclusivity or clearance for commercial use.

Posting an image grants Frosting a nonexclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable and transferable license, including reproduction, distribution and derivative works; promotion may also be covered. Treat posting as a separate decision from creating.

Check likeness permissions and third-party material before publication, and clarify intended commercial reuse rather than assuming a subscription settles every rights question. Keeping a private project notebook is different from publishing an image to a community feed.

For content concerns or appeals, the complaints policy names content@frosting.ai and states a five-business-day resolution commitment. This is a provider policy, not a response time tested by this guide.
